Hello people its time for "The PC Gamer in all of Us!". In today's section, we recommend free first-person shooters for everyone. These FPS-es are easy to download, fast to play and really fun. Now on to the first game.
Warsow. This game, while still in beta, has already been accepted as tournament worthy. It comprises of cute, cartoon like graphics and its no-frills interface will surely be a breeze for those non-tech savvy. Overall: 8/10 - Must have for casual LAN gaming with your friends. America's Army. I'm sure all those familiar with the up and comings of the PC Gaming world would have been introduced to this one, having been featured in this month's PC Gamer. This game, originally designed for the U.S. Army's training, is now open to the public for gaming and comes with online and LAN play capability. Its graphics are rather box-y for a 3D game, so it does not hit on the eye that well. Overall: 6.5/10 - Worth a try. Starseige: Tribes. This sci-fi FPS was released to promote Tribes: Vengeance, but now apparently has its own band of followers. Its theme, futuristic, is suggestive of the weapons included. Exact driver and weapons as Vengeance. Need I say more? Overall: 6/10 - No comments... Hidden & Dangerous. This prequel to the release Hidden & Dangerous 2 is now released as a freeware, open for those who want to use it as a simple multi-player game. Its graphics are decent for its time, and gameplay is simple. Hits on the overall. Overall: 7/10 - Decent, decent. F.E.A.R Multiplayer. I'm full of praises for this one. Free download of a high-end game. Too good to be true. And it offers a real CD Key upon registration. Good for those like me and Calvin, who just got new coms. Get yours now! Overall: 9/10 - What are you waiting for? This is it for this week's "The PC Gamer in all of Us!". Check back every Wednesday for your daily portal to the geek world. |
