Day and day I spend my time doing nothing but shopping, walking down streets idly. And every time I got o Orchard I have to pass by this banner that says "Why are you on Earth?". I don't know the answer to that for sure, but what I am doing now is hopefully not what I am here for, or else I seriously rather die. I wish to have a meaningful life, one that makes a difference. That's why I aspire to be a retrieval agent.

Jiraiya said in a recent Naruto chapter that whether a person's life is meaningful or not is not judged by how his life was led, but by what he was doing when he died. Let's see. I won't want to be lying on my bed, old and sickly when I die. I'd rather be doing something worth remembering. That's what I'd call a meaningful death. Life is God's greatest gift. To use it as payment for a long life already led is bullshit. If you'd done something memorable, like defend your country with great honor, your name goes in books everywhere and you live forever. That's what I want to have, rather than sitting here, typing this.
